FATEHGARH SAHIB: Taking strict action against quarantine and curfew violators the district administration in Fatehgarh Sahib has registered 458 cases and arrested 703 persons so far. Besides, it has impounded 171 vehicles regarding the violation of night curfew and three cases have been registered regarding the quarantine violations.
Disclosing this Amrit Kaur Gill, deputy commissioner said that the helpline number regarding Covid-19 medical services is 01763-232136 and police helpline number is 112 where people can inform the police regarding the quarantine violations and other Covid-19 related issues.
The deputy commissioner further said that some people were facing employment-related problems due to COVID-19 but district administration is working actively on this front also. Unemployed people can contact the district bureau of employment and enterprises on its helpline number 99156-82436 and on the mobile phone number of the career counsellor of the bureau i.e. 68145-73889. People can avail the benefit of various self-employment schemes through the district bureau of employment and enterprises.
Amrit Kaur Gill further disclosed that regarding the downloading of the COVA app district Fatehgarh Sahib is on the 04th position in the state. Large numbers of people have already downloaded this app which is playing an important role in the war against COVID-19 under mission Fateh. She urged the people to download this app and join mission Fateh in it.
Gill appealed to the people to follow safety measures like social distancing, covering the face with a mask or cloth and washing or sanitizing the hands. She said that strict action would be taken against the violators of the instructions issued by the state government to control the COVID-19.
