Nearly 247 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus overnight in Chengalpet district.

Chengalpet suffered an overnight spike with nearly 247 cases with Covid19 symptoms being reported.
The number of people infected with coronavirus in Tamil Nadu is increasing day by day. Districts including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur, Thiruvannamalai and Madurai are becoming more affected.
Corona prevalence in Vellore district continues to surge. As per reports, the number of people affected in the district yesterday was 2,225.
Further to it, more than 100 people have been diagnosed with corona virus overnight in the district. With this, the total number of people affected by Corona has risen to 10.536.
The district administration is also taking serious steps to curb the spread of the virus.
The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday recorded 4,965 new cases of COVID 19 and 75 people have succumbed to the disease. With Tuesday’s tally, the State has surpassed 1.8 lakh cases (1,80,643).
On Tuesday, Chennai recorded a caseload of 1,130 cases taking its total to 88,377. The active cases in the city stands at 14,952 while the total number of Covid-19 patients discharged stood at 71,949. 21 of the 75 deaths were reported in the state capital.
