Chhattisgarh: Maoists join hands for collective farming after surrender

Jul 22, 2020, 04:33PM ISTSource: TOI.in

Around a dozen surrendered Maoists have got together and started a self-help group. Reluctant to join police and go back to a life of bullets and blood, they have taken up farming in their native village in Dantewada. They had asked for a tractor from the authorities, when they had surrendered earlier. The administration gave them a brand new one at the Hareli festival on Monday, cheered on by police officers.
