The <a href="/topic/national-capital" target="_blank">national capital</a> witnessed a spell of heavy rains Wednesday morning leading to <a href="/topic/waterlogging" target="_blank">waterlogging</a> in many areas.

<br>The Indian Meteorological Department had issued an Orange alert.

<br>"As visible from RADAR animation, Northwest and extreme north <a href="/topic/Delhi" target="_blank">Delhi</a> are likely to experience Light to moderate rain/thundershowers during next 2 hours. Adjoining area of Haryana and UP are also likely to experience Light to moderate rain during next 3 hours," had tweeted early today.

<br>Many areas were waterlogged due to the rains.

<br>The Minto bridge has been reopened for traffic after it was closed due to waterlogging.
<br>
<br>On Sunday, four people lost their lives in the very first spell of heavy rains. The rainfall intensity is expected to decrease Thursday onwards.
