Addressing the India Ideas Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recounted how the India-US business cooperation has strengthened over the past six years. He recognized the contribution of US-India Business Council to further the evolving ties.
Commenting on the post-covid world order, he said nations should focus on more human-centric and growth oriented approach. Reflecting on the theme 'Building a Better Future', he said the topic assumes immense relevance especially at a time when the word reels under a pandemic.
Global optimism towards India is because India offers a perfect opportunity for investment and may serve as a major hub for manufacturing in future, said Modi. The world is in need of a better future. And, it is all of us who have to collectively give shape to that future, Modi observed at the summit.
He appealed to the American investors- by laying out his government's groundwork across various sectors- Healthcare sector, Energy Sector- especially clean energy sector, infrastructure and Civil Aviation and the emphasised how ease of doing business has emerged as a hallmark under his dispensation.
The Summit is being hosted by the US-India Business Council. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the formation of the Council. The theme for this year’s India Ideas Summit is ‘Building a Better Future’.
The virtual Summit featured high-level presence from Indian and US government policymakers, state-level officials, and thought leaders from business and society.
