Chandigarh: Juvenile among 2 held for theft

CHANDIGARH: Police have arrested two people, including a juvenile, for allegedly stealing gold and cash from a house in Mauli Jagran. One of the accused is Happy, 23, a resident of New Indira Colony. Police said Kusum, a resident of New Indira Colony, had reported that some unknown persons stole Rs 40,000 in cash, two mobile phones and gold jewellery from her house on July 16.
Cops caught a juvenile and recovered some stolen gold jewellery items from him. On his disclosure, police arrested Happy from New Indira Colony, Manimajra. During his interrogation, the police claimed to recover a stolen mobile phone, one gold ring and one necklace. Police said both the accused are drug addicts. Happy works as a daily wage labourer. He was earlier arrested in three cases of NDPS Act.
