CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies (TNILS) has invited applications for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses on labour management.
The institute offers UG, PG courses on labour management and a PG diploma in labour administration. It also offers a part-time course and diploma in labour laws with administrative law on weekends.
The courses have the affiliation of University of Madras and diploma courses are recognised by the state government, according to a statement released by the TNILS.
The courses are included in the TN Factories Labour Welfare Officers’ Rules as preferential qualification for the appointment of labour welfare officer, assistant inspector of labour and assistant commissioner of labour in the labour department.
These courses would also provide abundant employment opportunities in various industries.
Interested candidates, who have passed Class XII, were asked to send their request along with their details to tilschennai@tn.gov.in.
Contact coordinator (admission) R Rameshkumar said, “We will send the soft copy of the application to candidates. It should be filled in and sent by post or register post before August 5.”
The application fee for regular candidate is Rs 200. For SC/ST candidate, it is Rs 100. The money should be paid by demand draft in favour of the director, Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies, Chennai 5.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks and government rules and regulations, added the release.
