After President Donald Trump posted an unfounded claim to Facebook on Tuesday that mail-in voting could lead to a "corrupt election," the social network slapped a label on it. But the label did not attempt to fact-check the post as true or false. Instead, it directed users to a government website to learn more about how to vote.

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) got into a heated exchange with Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York on Monday. According to CNN, Yoho cursed Ocasio-Cortez as he walked away from their conversation. A reporter from The Hill overheard the exchange, and says Yoho called Ocasio-Cortez an '[expletive]-ing [expletive].' Yoho approached Ocasio-Cortez outside the House steps and sparked a conversation about her position on unemployment and crime in New York City.

Democrats Plan Virtual Convention

On Wednesday, Democrats said they will hold an almost entirely virtual presidential nominating convention Aug. 17-20 in Milwaukee. Joe Biden plans to accept the presidential nomination in person. According to Business Insider it remains to be seen whether there will be a significant in-person audience there to see him accept the nomination. The Democratic National Committee said in a statement that official business will take place virtually. Delegates are being asked not to travel to Milwaukee.
