109 new cases, tally inches closer to 8,000

Gurgaon: The city on Monday reported 109 Covid cases taking the tally to 7,857. The recovery rate in the city has reached 85% with 90 more patients recovering on Monday, officials said. There has been a marginal increase in the number of active cases from 1,029 on Sunday to 1,048 on Monday. A total of 883 patients are currently in home isolation. Moreover, 35,063 people are currently under surveillance in the district.
“The number of patients on ventilator is five and 109 new cases were reported on Monday,” said Dr Jai Prakash, district surveillance officer.
In Faridabad, 103 fresh cases were reported on Monday, taking the tally to 6,672. The death toll has reached 1,134.
