Students protest UGC’s decision to hold exams

Gurgaon: Students, under the banner of All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) on Monday took part in an online nationwide protest against UGC’s guidelines for conducting examinations for final year students when Covid cases are on the rise.
They have demanded that the evaluation be based on a formula and in consultation with all the stakeholders.
AIDSO state secretary Umesh Kumar said that UGC is unnecessarily creating confusion. “The government has no plans to deal with the pandemic. Hence, it is is constantly changing its decisions. If IITs can decide not to conduct exams and figure out an evaluation process, other universities can also do the same,” he said.
