Madhya Pradesh governor Lalji Tandon passes away

LUCKNOW: Madhya Pradesh governor Lalji Tandon passed away after a prolonged illness.
Tandon was admitted to the hospital after complaining of breathing problems, difficulty in urination and fever.
Tandon, 85, had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 11.

His son, Ashutosh Tandon announced his demise on Twitter. "Babuji is no more," he tweeted.
"Shri Lalji Tandon will be remembered for his untiring efforts to serve society," PM Modi said in his tribute to late Madhya Pradesh governor.
