BJP Tamil Nadu unit president L MuruganCHENNAI: President of BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit L Murugan has said people are closely watching the political parties that propagate fake secularism in the state. They would give a befitting reply these parties at an appropriate time, he said on Monday.
Citing the Coimbatore incident where a man, identified as G Gajendran of Pannapatti in Salem, set tyres on fire in front of temples and also the controversial YouTube channel programme on Kanda Shashti Kavasam, Murugan said that he was saddened by these incidents.
He wondered how this would happen in the state that has 90% of people following Hindu religion.
He demanded action against the people involved in Coimbatore incidents. He also demanded stern action against the anti-social elements behind them and elements that were trying to disturb the law and order situation in the state.
He doubted whether only one man was involved in setting tyres on fire in front of four temples in Coimbatore. He demanded a proper inquiry to find out Gajendran’s associates who travelled with him from Salem to Coimbatore.
