NEW DELHI: PSEB 12th result 2020 has been announced by the Punjab School Education Board on Tuesday i.e., July 21, 2020. The Punjab Board has made the PSEB 12th result 2020 accessible on its official website — pseb.ac.in.
This year, the Board had to cancel examinations for some papers due to the lockdown imposed to curb the COVID-19 spread. Earlier, the Board had a plan to conduct the pending examinations, however, later they decided to scrap the exams and implement a new assessment formula.
The assessment of the pending examinations has been conducted on the basis of the best performing subjects. Government of Punjab on July 10th tweeted that "Punjab Government cancels pending examinations of class XII, open school divulge School Education Minister, @VijayIndrSingla. #PSEB to declare results on the basis of best performing subjects formula stated by the Cabinet Minister."

PSEB had announced the classes 5, 8, and 10 results on May 29, 2020, on its official website. The Board had promoted all the students on the basis of the pre-board examination. Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on May 8th had announced on Twitter that the state government has decided to promote students of Class V, Class VIII to next classes as well as to promote class X students to the next class on the basis of pre-board results.
