Gujarat: Four of a family killed in car-truck collision

RAJKOT: Four members of a family died while three others sustained injuries when a truck collided with the car they were travelling in on Amreli-Bagasra Road in Gujarat on Monday evening.
According to police, the injured people are shifted to Amreli civil hospital. The condition of the two of them is critical.
According to police, the passengers in the car, all residents of Gavadka village of Amreli taluka, were going to Bagasra to attend a social function.
The deceased were identified as Kanuben Rathod (55), her daughter-in-law Kanchan Rathod (28) and her grand children Hetal (10) and Jaydeep (4).
Kanchan’s husband Jigensh and other two family members were injured in the accident.
An ambulance attendant, who first reached the spot said, “Three ambulances were sent to the spot. We saw that two people died while other five were wounded. Two of them succumbed to their injuries while we were taking them to the hospital.”
