The weather is changing from the mountainous regions in North India. According to the Meteorological Department, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand, besides Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi-NCR-Bihar and Western Uttar Pradesh, etc., may receive heavy rains from July 20 to July 21. During this period, the southern parts of Haryana and Punjab and most of Rajasthan will remain mainly dry. Some areas of North East Rajasthan may receive rain.


In Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert on 20 July anticipating heavy rain. Shimla Meteorological Center has issued 'Orange' alert for very heavy rain on Monday and 'Yellow alert' for heavy rain on Tuesday.


In the next two-three days, there will be very little rain till Goa and central Maharashtra, Konkan. Rain will reduce over West Madhya Pradesh. Monsoon rains will continue to occur over South Interior Karnataka and Kerala. The weather will remain dry in most areas of Tamil Nadu.

Monsoon will remain active in Odisha and Chhattisgarh and along with this, rain activities can be good in Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

The monsoon will not be very active for the next two-three days in West Bengal. But areas around Jharkhand may receive rain. In Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland, torrential rains will remain in effect for the next three days.
