NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading with gains in Monday's session.
Shares of Info Edge (India) (up 3.11 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 2.73 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 1.89 per cent) , Infosys (up 1.52 per cent) , Wipro (up 0.46 per cent) , MPhasis (up 0.22 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.11 per cent up at 17007.8 around 02:20PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 119.85 points at 11021.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 405.95 points at 37426.09.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, M&M Financial, SBI, IDFC First Bank Ltd., Federal Bank, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, YES Bank, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
