Redmi Note 9 Price in India, Specifications, Launch Live Updates: Redmi Note 9 is all set to launch in India today. The online-only launch event will begin at 12noon on Xiaomi’s YouTube channel and social media handles including Twitter. The smartphone was initially expected to launch alongside the Redmi Note 9 series earlier this year. The upcoming Redmi Note 9 will succeed the last year’s Redmi Note 8.

The Redmi Note 9 is already available in the global market at a starting price of $199 which is roughly around Rs 15,100. This price is for the base model with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model comes with a price of $249 which is roughly around Rs 18,900. Compared to the price of the global version of the phone the India pricing is expected to be lower. The Redmi Note smartphones are usually priced under Rs 10,000 and the same is expected for Redmi Note 9.

Xiaomi originally launched the Redmi Note 9 smartphone in the international markets back in April. At the time the device only had two variants: 3GB RAM/64GB storage and 4GB RAM/128GB storage.
The company has finally launched the device in the Indian market and it comes in three variants: 4GB RAM/64GB storage priced at Rs 11,999, 4GB RAM/128GB storage is priced at Rs 13,499 and 6GB RAM/128GB storage priced at Rs 14,999. The devices will be made available in Aqua Green, Arctic White and Pebble Grey colour options. The device will be made available starting July 24. Its first sale will be held on July 24 at 12 PM IST and it will be made available on Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and Mi partner stores.
Redmi Note 9 sports a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. Both the front and back glass of the device are protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM along with 64GB/128GB of storage expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card. The device runs Google's Android 10 operating system with the company's own MIUI 11 skin on top. All of this is backed by a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging.
It comes with a quad camera setup on the back, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra wide angle sensor, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, 9 it features a 13MP sensor for taking selfies.
Redmi Note 9 runs Google's latest Android 10 operating system with the company's own MIUI 11 skin on top. It comes with P2i hydrophobic nano-coating.
Redmi Note 9 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 11,999. The company has not revealed the pricing for its 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant will be made available at 14,999.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's first sale will take place on July 24 at 12 PM. It will be made available via Amazon, Mi.com and in the offline market.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is backed by a 5,020mAh battery, which is 20 per cent higher than the Redmi Note 8. The company claims that the device can last for over two days on a single charge. It comes with a 9W reverse charging feature, which will allow you to charge your accessories like the Redmi Earbuds S with the device itself.
The device sports 18W fast charging and comes with a 22.5W fast charger inside the box.
The Redmi Note 9 features a quad camera setup on the back with a quad camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra wide angle sensor, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it features a 13MP sensor for taking selfies.
The device comes with a pro-video mode, which allows users to customise videos they take.
Redmi Note 9 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It states that this chipset is better than the competition running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor.
The device will be made available in three RAM/storage variants: 4GB RAM/64GB storage, 4GB RAM/128GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage.
