KALABURAGI: A day after the video of a herd of pigs roaming inside the premises of a Covid-19 hospital in Kalaburagi went viral, DC B Sharath visited the hospital on Saturday and instructed its administration to maintain hygiene inside the premises.
The video created outrage on social media platforms with people expressing their anger against the hospital and the district administration.
He also directed the owner of the pigs to take away the animals immediately and expressed his anguish against the GIMS officer for not taking any action in this regard.

Hundreds of patients have been admitted in the Kalaburagi hospital and many others visit the hospital for treatment.
DC Sharath also directed GIMS officer to file an FIR against the owner of the pigs.
According to the pigs' owner, there were around 150 pigs still wandering around and inside the hospital building.
The DC checked the compound wall and directed officers to closed all the entry points from which pigs may enter the hospital building.
Sharath also took security guards posted at the hospital to task for failing to stop the pigs from entering the hospital premise.
