Hyderabad: Auto driver stabbed after tiff with friend

HYDERABAD: A 27-year-old auto driver was stabbed by his friend after a tiff between the two in Amberpet limits. The victim is said to be out of danger, said cops.
The victim, Shaik Riyaz, from Akash Nagar in Amberpet went out with his friends on Saturday evening near a shop in the same locality. The accused, Syed Faizal, 23, a friend of the victim who stayed in the same locality also joined. However, an altercation took place between the two.
"All five friends were near a shop when Riyaz made a comment about Faizal's father. The duo ended into a heated argument," said Amberpet sub-inspector, Suresh.
Faizal went back home to get a kitchen knife. "Faizal then stabbed the victim on his neck in anger. The other three friends stopped him and rushed Riyaz to hospital," added the SI.
The incident occurred at around 7 pm on Saturday. "The accused escaped from the spot and has been absconding. While the victim is said to be out of danger," said the officer.
An attempt to murder case was registered against Faizal and police has launched a manhunt to nab him.
