BJP leader and East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir took a dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday, after heavy rain led to waterlogging in several parts of the national capital and left at least two people dead.
Posting images of waterlogging in Delhi on Sunday, Gautam Gambhir said in a tweet: "I've heard the Delhi government is planning rainwater harvesting for public roads, like London and Paris".

"When will we get to see the advertisements for these?" Gambhir sarcastically asked CM Arvind Kejriwal.
"Chief minister, please tell people today what all comes under the Delhi government apart from the advertising department? It has been six years since the Center and MCD [Municipal Corporation of Delhi] are chanting names," Gambhir said in another tweet.

Moments after Gautam Gambhir's first tweet, Kejriwal said that this is not the time for blame-game.
Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal wrote, "This year all agencies, whether it is MCD or the Delhi Government, have been busy with controlling the coronavirus outbreak in the capital. They had to face a lot of difficulties due to the coronavirus. This is not the time for blame-game. Everyone has to collectively fulfill their responsibilities". He added that all efforts will be made to clear out waterlogged areas immediately.

Kejriwal said that he has been in touch with the agencies since Sunday morning. "Water under the Minto Bridge has been cleared off. I have been in touch with agencies since morning and all waterlogged areas are being cleared off".

A person was found dead under the heavily waterlogged Minto Bridge early morning on Sunday after heavy rains lashed the capital.
Following a heavy downpour, some other vehicles were also stuck at Minto Bridge. Delhi Fire Service Personnel rescued the driver and the conductor of a DTC bus and an auto driver from the waterlogged underpass.
Meanwhile, a house collapsed in the slum area of Anna Nagar near ITO due to heavy rains. The house collapsed as a portion of the road along it caved-in following heavy rains in the national capital.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), after Sunday's rain, the overall precipitation in Delhi in July stood in the surplus category -- eight per cent more than normal.
