Haryana: Man shot dead in Ambala village

AMBALA: A 25-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by two bike-borne miscreants at Khanpur Brahmnana village under limits of Panjokhra police station in the Ambala district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Joshi (25) of Khanpur Brahmnana village, said the police.
Deepak had gone to a farmland to get green fodder for his livestock. While he was heading back to home, two bike-borne miscreants fired three bullets at him and fled the spot.
On hearing the gunshots, some villagers rushed to the spot and rushed Deepak to a hospital in Ambala city, but he died on the way, said the police.
Sources from the village disclosed that the villagers are divided into two groups and about one month ago, both the groups had a clash near Rampur village of Ambala.
As per the information, some kids were playing nearby at the time of incident and saw two men fleeing the spot. They told the police that the duo parked the bike at a distance and went towards the farmland. They opened fire and fled the spot.
Meanwhile, on the complaint of Deepak’s cousin Ramesh, a case of murder has been registered against accused Atul ‘Cheena’, Vikas ‘Billu’, Harneep ‘Neepu’, Manish ‘Mishi’, Krishan, Rajesh ‘Neetu’ and others under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Panjokhra police station on Sunday.
Ambala SP said that two suspects in the case are absconding.
"We have rounded up some suspects and investigation is being done. A case of murder has been registered at Panjokhra police station”, added the SP.
