A 39-year-old woman and her two children were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their home in Shiv Ram Park area in Delhi's Nihal Vihar on Sunday.

Prima facie, police suspects that the woman's husband is behind the killings as he has been missing since the matter was reported to them.

Police said that a PCR call was received at around 11.30 am on Sunday at Nihal Vihar Police Station, informing them of the murder of Preeti, her nine-year-old son and five-year-old daughter in Shiv Ram Park area.

Ramchandra, Preeti's father, said he was trying to reach her on the phone, however, she was not answering his calls. Then he decided to come to Preeti's house to check on her and found the three lying dead in a pool of blood.

Police suspects that a hammer and a knife was used to murder the Preeti and her two kids.

Preeti's husband, Gagan, who works at a factory, is currently on the run and his phone is also switched off. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) A Koan said a case of murder is being registered and an investigation is underway.
