On Saturday, Mumbai Police questioned filmmaker Aditya Chopra for about four hours in relation to Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Sources revealed that Aditya's statement is contrary to that of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali had told the police that Sushant was to be cast for Bajirao Mastani film, but at that time SSR was in contract with Yash Raj Films. However, Chopra revealed to the police that Bhansali had not spoken to YRF for taking Sushant in Bajirao Mastani.
Aditya further said that if Sushant can star in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story despite being in contract with YRF then why can't he star in Bajirao Mastani. According to Aditya, even at the time of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, the accusation that YRF did not allow Sushant, to star in the film, but to allow Ranveer Singh to star in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela despite being in contract with YRF is absolutely baseless.
As per YRF head honcho, Ranveer Singh Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela in April 2012 while Sushant had come to YRF contract in November 2012.
Earlier, sources had said that when Sanjay was questioned about Sushant's involvement with two of his films Bajirao Mastani and Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, he said that Sushant was focused on Yash Raj Films Paani, directed by Shekhar Kapoor at that point in time.
SLB also shared that Sushant refused to work on the two big-budget films and Sanjay also insisted that he never "dropped" Sushant out of his films.
