Lockdown in India, Bihar, Goa guidelines news:  Several states observed complete lockdown on Sunday as India saw a record single-day jump of 38,902 COVID-19 cases, pushing the Coronavirus tally in the country to 10,77,618. The total number of recoveries have risen to 6,77,422, PTI quoted the Union Health Ministry as saying. The death toll due to the disease in the country has risen to 26,816 with 543 fatalities reported in a day. Data showed on Sunday that 23,672 patients recuperated in the past 24 hours, the highest so far.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has announced that a weekend lockdown would be enforced in the state on Saturdays and Sundays to check the spread of the Coronavirus. In West Bengal, streets wore a deserted look in Kolkata, Siliguri, and other containment zones in districts as a complete lockdown has been announced by the state government. In Siliguri, a total lockdown has been enforced in 47 wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation for 7 days, starting July 16. In Goa, streets in Panaji wore a deserted look as the state observes lockdown in view of rising cases of COVID-19. The state government has announced ‘Janata Curfew’ between 8 pm and 6 am till August 10 and complete lockdown for three days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week. In Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram, social distancing norms were violated as students and their parents gathered outside a Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examination centre in Pattom.

A complete lockdown has been enforced in Patna and other districts in Bihar. In Bihar’s Patna, shops are closed and streets wore a deserted look as lockdown is being observed in the state capital today. The lockdown has begun from July 16 and it will remain till July 31. The 16-day lockdown has been imposed by the state government to check the spread of coronavirus cases. Meanwhile, a complete lockdown has been announced in Goa. There will be weekend lockdown in Uttar Pradesh. A week-long lockdown is on in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior.

Shop selling essential items like milk, dairy products, vegetables, and groceries are allowed to open. Home delivery of products is allowed.

Hospitals, medical establishments, Banks, insurance offices, and ATMs remain functional.

Taxis, auto-rickshaws and private vehicles are allowed for emergency reasons.

Flight and rail services will remain operational.

Restaurants, hotels are allowed to carry out home delivery options.

No public gathering at the places of worship. Schools, colleges, other educational institutions are not allowed to open

Sports, cultural complexes, Malls, movie theatres, swimming pools, and gymnasiums are not allowed to open.

Commercial, private, government establishments are not allowed to open

Goa lockdown guidelines, Lockdown in Goa

Goa government has decided to enforce a complete lockdown in the state on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The total lockdown will begin from tonight. ‘Janta Curfew’ has been enforced in Goa and will remain effective till 6 am on August 10.

Only medical services and essential services will be allowed during the complete lockdown, says the Goa CM.

Lockdown in MP, Gwalior

A complete lockdown for 7 days is on in Gwalior of Madhya Pradesh. The state government has said that medical emergency operations, essential commodities operations are allowed.

The state government has banned social, religious, and political programmes and sealed the district borders.
