The total number of infected people has increased to 10,38,716 after 34,884 new cases of Corona virus infection were reported in the last 24 hours in the country. So far, 6,5375,000 people in the country have recovered after treatment. According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Saturday morning, the death toll rose to 26,273 after 671 people died in one day from the infection. Currently, 3,58,692 people are undergoing treatment for the infection in the country.


"So far 62.94 percent of the patients have recovered," the official said. The total number of infected people includes foreigners. This is the third consecutive day that more than 30,000 cases of Kovid-19 infection have been reported in the country. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 1,34,33,742 samples have been tested till July 17 in the country. 3,61,024 samples were tested on Friday.

In the last 24 hours, 671 people have died, out of which 258 in Maharashtra, 115 in Karnataka, 79 in Tamil Nadu, 42 in Andhra Pradesh, 38 in Uttar Pradesh, 26-26 in West Bengal and Delhi, 17 in Gujarat, Jammu- Nine-nine in Kashmir and Punjab, eight each in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, seven in Telangana, five in Haryana, four each in Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha, three each in Assam and Puducherry, two each in Chhattisgarh and Goa And one person each in Kerala and Uttarakhand.

Out of the total 26,273 deaths due to infection so far, Maharashtra has the highest number of 11,452 people, followed by Delhi with 3,571, Tamil Nadu 2,315, Gujarat 2,2106, Karnataka 1,147, Uttar Pradesh 1,084, West Bengal. 1,049, 697 people died in Madhya Pradesh and 546 in Rajasthan. Apart from these 534 in Andhra Pradesh, 403 in Telangana, 327 in Haryana, 239 in Punjab, 231 in Jammu and Kashmir, 201 in Bihar, 83 in Odisha, 51-51 in Uttarakhand and Assam, 46 in Jharkhand and 38 in Kerala. Death has resulted from infection.
