Patiala: Mobile recovered from gangster inside Nabha Jail

PATIALA: The jail officials of Nabha jail claimed to have recovered a mobile phone from a gangster who is one among the accused in Nabha jailbreak that hogged the headlines in November 2016.
The jail officials claimed that a Redmi phone was recovered from the possession of the accused jail inmate Kulpreet Singh alias Neeta Deol of Moga during checking inside his barrack.
The officials of New Nabha jail revealed that Kulpreet Singh was lodged here since February this year after being shifted from another jail. They revealed that he was one of the six escapees who managed to escape from the maximum-security jail in Nabha.
The jail officials of New Nabha Jail claimed they had recovered a total of five mobile phones from the jail during checking however only one mobile was recovered from the possession of gangster Kulpreet Singh alias Neeta Deol whereas unidentified persons were booked in a separate case for recovery of the remaining four mobiles.
Sharif Mohammad, assistant superintendent New Jail Nabha said, “We carried out an inspection on a tip-off and recovered mobile from gangster Kulpreet Singh who was brought in this jail in February this year. Similarly, in another inspection carried we recovered a polythene packet in which four mobiles without any SIM card were tightly packed. Three of these packed phones were smartphones. We are carrying out further investigation.
