Update at 9.36am: Spike of 34,884 cases and 671 deaths reported in India in the last 24 hours. Total positive cases stand at 10,38,716, including 3,58,692 active cases, 6,53,751 cured/discharged/migrated and 26,273 deaths, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
*In a bid to reduce the burden on the health infrastructure, the Centre has issued guidelines to enable resident welfare associations and voluntary organisations to set up small Covid care facilities in gated colonies to cater to pre-symptomatic, asymptomatic and very mid cases among the residents.
*NDMC has initiated a drive early this week to send mobile teams to the ministries, the Supreme Court, Delhi high court and other important government offices. Health teams will cover all government complexes where public footfall is high so that timely detection can help in containing Covid-19 infections.
*After experimenting with a number of drugs and therapies, doctors in hospitals across the city say they have finally developed a therapy for Covid-19 that is effective and yields better results. However, there is no cure for the infection as yet, they add.

*The Covid-19 tally in Delhi mounted to over 1.2 lakh on Friday, while 26 more fatalities were recorded, the lowest single-day death count in the capital since June 9.
