England cricketer Ben Stokes was in top form for the home side during day two of the second Test match between England and West Indies in Manchester.

The star allrounder not only managed to set a pace for the Three Lions with the bat but also managed to form a formidable 250-run partnership with Dom Sibley (120).

During their rocking partnership, Stokes played some exquisite shots which included one huge but effortless six with minimum to none followthrough.

Alzarri Joseph bowled a full-length delivery with got picked up early by an inform Stokes who effortlessly lifted the ball over long-on to flaunt his class.

What was more admirable in that shot was how elegantly it was stuck, while using the bounce off the pitch. Stokes also brought up his 150 against the tourists on day 2 play at Old Trafford.

West Indies have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series against England. The victory at the Rose Bowl in Southampton saw the socially-distanced celebrations as the Windies won by 4 wickets.

With the return of captain Joe Root back in the squad, the batting lineup looked stronger for the host side.

At the close of play, Sibley and Stokes remained unbeaten on 86 and 59 respectively.

Due to rain, the match witnessed a delayed stat. However, the action finally commenced after a halt of 1.5 hours.
