This year, the Chanel Watchmaking Creation Studio has introduced the Mademoiselle Privé Bouton collection, a tribute to the important component of Gabrielle Chanel ‘s stylistic world: the button. Inspired by military clothes and sailor’s uniforms, Gabrielle Chanel paid special attention to the button motifs, which offered a wide range of ornamental designs.
Mademoiselle Privé Bouton Perle
This watch is inspired by the sleeve of the iconic CHANEL little black jacket, always braided and punctuated with a button. To highlight this time-telling piece of jewelry, tweed is an appropriate choice. As Gabrielle Chanel used to say, “There can be no buttons without buttonholes”; here, the button holds its role as an opening mechanism.

Accentuated by a leather braid, or an 18-carat yellow gold braid fitted with 316 diamonds (Mademoiselle Privé Bouton Diamond Ganse), or entirely snow-set (Mademoiselle Privé Bouton Snow-Set) the black tweed or 18-carat white gold cuff of the watch is 3.5 mm wide. This folds over and fastens the wrist with a 2.5 mm diameter button covering a small white gold dial adorned with 142 brilliant-cut diamonds, which is the same for all 7 versions. A high-precision quartz movement is nestled beneath this dial.
