What do superstars add to their superfood smoothies? Ahead, we found out exactly what
Healthy smoothies are the simplest way to add nutrition to your daily routine. Not only do they make for a great alternative to breakfast, but health and fitness experts say that a wholesome smoothie can work wonders for your metabolism. We did a little digging and found five recipes that have a stamp of approval from your favourite stars in Hollywood. While Blake Lively prefers a detoxifying green smoothie, Meghan Markle likes to play around with her morning drink. Scroll ahead and take notes to upgrade your morning routine.
The Friends star's go-to breakfast is a protein smoothie, which she shared with InStyle magazine in 2015. “I’ll put in bananas, cherries, blackberries, a greens powder, a collagen peptide, a little cacao powder, chocolate stevia drop and chocolate almond milk,” she revealed. “You can see I like chocolate-flavoured. I don’t like protein taste.” And here's how you can recreate it at home.
1 cup chocolate almond milk
¼ tbsp trace mineral drops
2-3 drops chocolate stevia
½ frozen banana
1 cup frozen cherries
a handful of frozen blackberries
1 scoop vegan protein powder, cocoa flavour
½ tbsp maca powder
5 sprouted almonds
Ice

Place all ingredients in a blender, and mix until smooth.

Pour in a tall glass and serve cold.
Back in 2015, Meghan Markle gave a peek inside her everyday habits and revealed her go-to smoothie recipe in an interview with The Chalkboard. Duchess of Sussex opened up about her health and fitness regime, with an important tip, “Surround yourself with people who live a healthy lifestyle... it rubs off.” After sharing her recipe, she listed out different ways to experiment with it: “I also do the same thing with frozen mango, a squeeze of lime, swap the cinnamon for turmeric (which has unbelievable healing properties!) and just use coconut water. Nom nom nom!”
1 packet of your shake powder of choice
½ cup of frozen blueberries
1 tsp of cinnamon
Some chia seeds
½ cup almond milk
½ cup of coconut water

Vegetables in their purest form are refreshing and palate-cleansing, while the sweet notes of the fruits and mint make this both quenching and intoxicating. Now I can get my dose of veggies in a delicious way,” she revealed.
1 cup kale
2 leaves Swiss chard
½ cup parsley
½ small beet
½ cup pineapple
2 medium green apples (red may also be used for extra sweetness)
1 sprig fresh mint
½ medium lemon, peeled

Add ingredients in above order to juicer and let it blend for 2-3 minutes.
