Despite all the promises of China, India is keeping a close watch on the entire area along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh. Also, the army has been asked to be on high alert to give a suitable answer to any snowfall.
In this series, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Ladakh on Friday morning along with Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief MM Narwane. All three people landed at Leh Airport. After this, he reached Leh to Stucka to see the para draping skills of the security forces.
Indian soldiers are doing para draping exercises in Stuckna so that they can be prepared in any odd situation.
Sources said the Defense Minister will conduct a detailed review of the security situation with Lt. Gen. Yogesh Kumar Joshi of Northern Command, Lt. Gen. Harinder Singh of 14 Corps and other senior military officers. Earlier on Wednesday, the National Security Advisor, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Army Chief General Narwane, and other senior officials reviewed the situation in East Ladakh.
India maintains its stand on LAC: External Affairs Ministry
External Affairs Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said, there is no change in India's attitude regarding the border dispute in East Ladakh. We fully respect the Line of Control and no change in the status quo on LAC will be allowed. Both sides agree that troops will be deployed at pre-built checkpoints. He said that the process of repelling forces is going on to end the tension in East Ladakh. It is a complex process and in this case, the factless news should be avoided.
India favors free movement in the South China Sea
India said, the South China Sea is a part of the whole world and it is in favor of free movement in this region. Also said, India wants peace and stability in this area. Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said India wants that everyone should get the freedom to use this international sea route. He said this on the question of the US rejecting China's claim on most of the South China Sea. He said India has clarified its position on the South China Sea many times before.
