Bernhard Duerrmeier has been appointed General Manager of the White Elephant Palm Beach, a boutique hotel with 32 luxury units including 19 spacious suites that is set to open in September 23, 2020. Bernhard comes with years of extensive experience in luxury hotel management, development and hospitality services.
White Elephant Palm Beach is the redevelopment of an historic hotel that dates back to the 1920’s and is undergoing a transformation by Boston-based New England Development into one of the most luxurious properties in Palm Beach. Mr. Duerrmeier’s global hospitality career spans almost two decades and would certainly be a great contribution to the hotel.
Prior to his latest role, Bernhard was associated with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts for 15 years in various leadership roles, including most recently serving as the Hotel Manager for its Montreal, Canada outpost. In this role, he was responsible for maximizing hotel profitability, resident relations, overseeing restaurant opening initiatives, as well as mentorship and talent development. He also held positions with the Mandarin Oriental Group and Hotel L’Hermitage in the U.K.
