Noida: The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, is all set to get a trauma centre at the hospital. The decision was taken at the governing body meeting on Wednesday.
Keeping in mind the work done in terms of handling the pandemic, a medical research unit at the hospital was also approved on Wednesday.
The meeting was headed by the state chief secretary and the additional chief secretary for medical education.
“At present, we have a BSL 2 laboratory that we can upgrade to BSL 3 for advanced research. The facility has been sanctioned and the funds have also been released,” said Brigadier Rakesh Gupta, the director, GIMS. TNN
