Union defence minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Leh on Friday morning. The minister will take stock of the ground situation. He will be also visiting Jammu and Kashmir. Singh was originally scheduled to visit Ladakh on July 3 but the trip was deferred. The visit is being seen as very important amid border tension with China. Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Indian Army chief Manoj Mukund Narvane also joined the minister. The defence minister will also be visiting Srinagar where he will be interacting with army commanders and security personnel.
