Suspended Congress MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma missing from Manesar resort, SOG team leaves empty handed

Sources told India Today TV that the Rajasthan Police's SOG team had gone to the hotel to question MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma over the leaked audiotapes but couldn't find him there. They even checked the hotel register to verify if he was staying there or not.

A team of Rajasthan Police's Special Operations Group (SOG), that had visited the ITC Grand Bharat Hotel in Manesar on Friday, left empt-handed after it could not find suspended Congress MLA Bhanwar Lal Singh there.

As many as 18 Congress MLAs who favoured former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot over CM Gehlot are currently residing at the ITC Grand Bharat resort in Manesar, Haryana.

The SOG team was made to wait for an hour and a half outside the resort before being allowed to enter. They were permitted only after Haryana Police discussed the situation with senior officials in Rajasthan. Earlier on Friday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jitendra Kumar had asked the SOG team to return to Rajasthan. Heavy deployment of police is also being seen outside ITC Grand Bharat.

Sources told India Today TV that the SOG team had gone to the hotel to question MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma over the leaked audiotapes but couldn't find him there. They even checked the hotel register to verify if he was staying there or not.

Multiple audiotapes of MLAs of the Sachin Pilot camp purportedly discussing toppling the Ashok Gehlot government have gone viral on social media.

In the tapes, MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma is purportedly heard discussing monetary transactions and 30 MLAs who will support Pilot.

Congress on Friday suspended MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma after his leaked audiotapes have created a storm.
