Bangalore Karnataka lockdown news dates rules: Coronavirus cases continue to surge in Karnataka and Bengaluru even as a lockdown has been enforced in the state capital and other parts. For the first time, Karnataka has recorded more than 4,000 coronavirus cases and 100 COVID19 related deaths. on July 16, Karnataka has recorded 4169 new coronavirus cases and 104 deaths. Total positive cases in the state are 51,422 and 539 COVID19 positive patients have been admitted to ICU. A total of 925477 tests have been conducted so far in the state. In Bengaluru, 2344 new coronavirus cases and 70 COVID19 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. Karnataka is the fastest-growing coronavirus state in India and has climbed up to the fourth spot in the caseload chart in the country. Karnataka government has enforced a total lockdown in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru rural, Dakshina Kannada, Dharwad, and Raichur.
Bengaluru has 7053 containment zones. Out of the total, 5598 are active containment zones. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has released government quota covid19 bed status in the capital. Bengaluru residents who are comorbid or senior citizens or symptomatic primary contacts can request doorstep testing during lockdown using following helplines. Bangalore Lockdown news, dates, rules, guidelines:
A total lockdown has been enforced in Bengaluru city, Bengaluru Urban, and Bengaluru Rural districts. The lockdown began at 8 pm on July 14 and will remain till 5 am on July 23.
Bus services have been suspended till July 21. Taxis, auto-rickshaws, cab aggregators services, metro rail services are not allowed during the lockdown. The inter-state and intra-state movement of passenger vehicles is allowed for emergency purposes.
Shops selling essential items are allowed to open from 5 am to noon. Medical shops are allowed to open 24 hours. Shops and supermarkets are allowed to open till 12 pm.
Food outlets, hotels, restaurants are allowed to operate with online deliveries and takeaways facilities till 8 pm.
Flights and trains which are already scheduled will continue to operate.
Apart from Bengaluru urban and Bengaluru rural districts, the Karnataka government has enforced a strict lockdown in four more districts – Dharwad, Dakshina Kannada, Kalaburagi, and Raichur.
