Maharashtra: Diesel price crosses Rs 80/l in 4 districts

MUMBAI: The price of diesel touched a new high in the state as it crossed the Rs 80-mark in four districts—Amravati, Aurangabad, Parbhani and Solapur—on Thursday.
In Mumbai, diesel was retailed at Rs 79.40/litre, in Thane and Navi Mumbai at Rs 79.50/litre. In Nagpur, diesel was sold at pumps at 79.96/litre.
According to oil marketing company sources, the price of diesel in Amravati was Rs 80.72/litre, in Aurangabad Rs 80.49, in Parbhani Rs 80.12 and in Solapur Rs 80.05.
Petrol price is nearing the Rs 90-mark in the state; in Parbhani, it retailed at Rs 89.19/litre on Thursday. In Mumbai, it was at Rs 87.19, and in Thane and Navi Mumbai, Rs 87.29.
