Markets to open in Lucknow from 10am to 8pm Monday-Friday

LUCKNOW: To curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, Lucknow district administration has decided to open markets on weekdays from 10am to 8pm, while imposing complete lockdown from Friday at 10pm to 5am on Monday.
The order states that all urban and rural haats, markets, mandis and business establishments of the district will remain completely shut on Saturday and Sunday.
Elaborating on orders, DM Lucknow Abhishek Prakash said that religious places would remain open all day with strict adherence to social distancing and other health-related restrictions.
“All industrial factories operating in rural areas including IT, ITeS industries would remain open during the period. The movement of buses and railways will continue as before,” said the DM.
Buses will be arranged for passengers coming by rail. There will be no restriction on passengers going to the airport and back. There will also be no restriction on the movement of goods by trucks. Dhabas will remain open on highways, said the DM.
