CBSE result in Rajasthan: Gujarat fares better than Raj from Ajmer region

AJMER: Gujarat fared better than Rajasthan in CBSE class X board exams from Ajmer region, the results of which were announced on Wednesday.
The Union territory of Dadar and Nagar Haveli, also in Ajmer region, came third in terms of performance.
This is for the first time the CBSE has announced the result state-wise. While the success rate of Gujarat was 97.16%, Rajasthan logged 96.71%. Dadar and Nagar Haveli’s pass percentage was 91.66 per cent. The overall pass percentage of Ajmer region in the class X board exam was 96.93%.
A total of 84,973 students appeared in the exam from Rajasthan of which 51,184 were boys and 33,789 girls. Altogether 82,175 students cleared the exam in Rajasthan.
Out of 32,981 girls, 96.11% cleared the exam while 97.61% out of 49,194 boys passed the board finals.
In Gujarat, a total of 28,699 students appeared the exam out of which 11,375 were girls and 17,324 boys. In all, 28,012 cleared the exam of which 11,227 were girls and 16,785 boys. The pass percentage of girls stood at 98.70% while 96.89 boys cleared the exam.
In Dadar and Nagar Haveli, 1,091 students appeared in the exam of which 457 were girls and 634 boys. In all, 1,000 students cleared the exam comprising 431 girls and 569 boys.
In terms of performance by girls, Ajmer was ranked fifth out of the 16 regions. Trivandrum topped the list with 99.58 per cent girls clearing the finals. Girl students of Chennai, Bangalore and Pune performed better than girls from Ajmer region.
