The Speed trial between Jakhal-Dhuri and Lehra Muhabbat-Dhuri sections with upto 120 km per hour was recorded ...Read MorePATIALA: After completing the electrification work of 62-km-long Dhuri-Jakhal and 68 km Dhuri-Lehra Mohabbat single line section, the northern railways on Thursday successfully completed the speed trails of upto 120 kms on the two sections.
The intensive inspections of the sections were carried out by the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS), Shailesh Kumar Pathak, who gave the safety approvals for the Dhuri-Jakhal and Dhuri-Lehra Mohabbat sections after carrying out current collection tests and speed trials by electric locomotive were also done.
The Speed trial between Jakhal-Dhuri and Lehra Muhabbat-Dhuri sections with upto 120 km per hour was recorded successfully. The current collection tests were done using Oliver-G technology, which is a type of ‘over-head line’ inspection with video recording and GPS marking system for current collection.
Pathak said it was highly reliable technology for ensuring spark free current collection by locomotives.
Several other structures like ROBs, RUBs, level crossings and FOBs on the line were also checked during the inspection.
Pathak also inspected the Railway stations and their amenities located on the sections.
After the statuary inspection of the same, the CCRS has accorded sanction for introducing of electric traction on newly constituted electrification between Dhuri-Jakhal and Dhuri-Lehra Muhabat section, subsequently since today, electric trains has been started on these sections.
