Representative imageAHMEDABAD: Odhav police on Tuesday seized 161 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), worth Rs 58,290, from the house of Rajendrasinh Solanki, who is accused of murder and is presently behind bars. Police arrested a 21-year-old man, Nisarg Darji, from the house.
Rajendrasinh’s cousin, Jeelkunwar Solanki, who was also at the house, was issued a notice asking her to present herself when summoned, because she is seven months pregnant.
Police said Rajendrasinh’s daughter, Archikunwarba, was running the illegal business in his absence along with Jeelkunwarba. “Rajendrasinh’s daughter, and five others who work for him — Rinku Solanki, Sunil Khatik and Chirag Pithwa — are absconding,” said deputy commissioner of police, Zone 5, Ravi Teja.
“Darji has been sent for a pre-arrest Covid-19 test,” Teja said. According to the FIR, Odhav police received a tip-off about an IMFL cache at Solanki’s house in Munisuvrutswami Society. Darji told them that he works for Solanki and the stock had been supplied by Sunil Khatik of Ramol.
