The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE)  released the results for Maharashtra Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or class 12 exams on the official website on July 16. Candidates can check the result on the official website-mahresult.nic.in.

The official result link came out on the official website at 1 PM. 

The class 12 toppers list for various streams won't be released this year owing to the special circumstances triggered by  the COVID-19 pandemic.

The overall pass percentage of the HSC 2020 exam stands at 90.66%.

 14,20,575 students appeared for the Maharashtra Board HSC exams this year. Of the total, 12,81,712 students have cleared the exams. 

With 96.93%, Science students recorded the highest pass percentage. Commerce students recorded a pass percentage of 91.27%.

Arts students recorded a pass percentage of 82.63%.

This year, students of all streams recorded a better pass percentage than the previous year, with Science securing 4.33% increase, Commerce a 2.99% increase, and Arts a 6.18% increase.

Konkan division topped the HSC 2020 exam with 95.89%, while Aurangabad recorded the lowest pass percentage of  88.18%. 

Girls again outshined boys, recording 93.88% compared to  88.04% boys. 

Steps to check the results for Maharashtra HSC Result 2020:

Step 1. Visit the official website-mahresult.nic.in.

Step 2. On the homepage, click on the link-'Maharashtra HSC Result 2020 declared'.

Step 3. On the newly opened page, enter the roll number.

Step 4. Enter Mother's first name.

Step 5. The results will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6. Download and take a print out of the results for future reference.   

Over 13 lakh students had appeared in the HSC examinations.

The exams were scheduled to take place between  March 7 and April first week. Certain exams were cancelled due to the pandemic.

The evaluation of the answer sheets began on May 6.
