Maharashtra Board HSC 12th Result 2020 LIVE updates: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education (MSBSHE) declared the result of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination today. Around 15.05 lakh students who appeared for their class 12 exam can get their result through the websites- mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in and mahresult.nic.in, hscresult.mkcl.org.  

A total of 12 lakh (12,81,712) became successful in this year’s examination. The total pass percentage of the state was recorded at 90.66 per cent, a significant jump of 4.78 per cent compared to last year’s pass percentage of 85.88 per cent. Girls once again outshined boys as 93.88 per cent girls who appeared for exams passed compared to 88.04 per cent boys.

Science has recorded the highst pass percentage with 96.93 per cent. The pass percentage in Commerce is 91.27 per cent, Arts- 82.63 per cent, MCVC- 86.07 per cent.

On the homepage of the website, students need to click on HSC result link and then log in by entering their roll number, and other details. Lastly, students need to click on the view result button after which the HSC result will be displayed on the screen.

More students opt for arts, commerce; science still best performer in results

In recent years, even as arts and commerce have emerged as faculty of choice with maximum students showing interest in these streams, it was the science faculty that recorded the maximum pass percentage at 96.93, which means 5,58,601 out of 5,60,051 candidates passed.

Best and worst performing districts

Konkan division scored the highest pass percentage at 95.89, while Aurangabad at 88.18 recorded the lowest pass percentage

Out of 14.2 lakh regular candidates registered, 14,13,689 students appeared for the exam across the state. Of them, 12,81,712 passed the exam, bringing the total pass percentage to 90.66 for fresh candidates

FYJC admissions

Admissions are being conducted online in Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, and Nagpur through the official website pune.11thadmission.org.in. Students wishing to take admission in First Year Junior College (FYJC), Class XI for the academic year 2020-21 will be able to register themselves in the online admission process from July 26 onwards.

How to file applications for revaluation of marks?

From this year onwards, students can file applications for revaluation of marks , photocopies of answer sheets, re-checking of papers and migration cerificates, from the next day of declaration of results through the website http://verification.mh-hsc.ac.in.

The application can be submitted to the respective divisional board either directly by the student or through the school.

For revaluation, students have to submit self attested copies of their answersheet. For the same, they have to first obtain the answersheet after making online application, self-attest the same and upload it on the website within five days of recieving the photocopies of answersheets, after completing the fee payment for the same.

Students wishing to revaluate can contact their respective divisional boards.

For those students who have cleared the examination but want to appear for the class improvement scheme, will be provided with only two attempts in subsequent exams.

No SMS service this year

Unlike every year, when BSNL users can also send an SMS to get the result details, this year the board has provided no such facility. Board chairman Shakuntala Kale stated that the telecom company did not approach the state board like every year for the same.

A total of 12,21,1159 out of 14,23,503 students cleared the class 12 examination this year. The pass percentage this year was 85.88 per cent

Step 1: Visit the official websites- hscresult.mkcl.org, maharashtraeducation.com, mahresult.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘download result link’

Step 3: Enter registration number, roll number

Step 4: Results will appear on the screen

Check pass percentage

A student should secure at least 35 per cent marks in each subject to clear the state SSC and HSC exams. Once the results are announced, those who have cleared the exams will be issued with the original mark sheet, which needs to be collected by the students from their respective schools.

Maharashtra Board MSBSHE HSC 12th Result 2020 LIVE updates: Last year, the state recorded 85.88 passing percentage, with Konkan emerging as the best performing district. If we compare streamwise, 92.60 per cent students had cleared from Science stream and 88.22 and 76.40 per cent students had passed from Commerce and Arts streams, respectively. The result of class 10 is likely to be released by the July-end.
