Girls outshine boys in CBSE class 10 results in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Girls outshine boys in the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) class 10 exams, results of which were declared on Wednesday. Girls emerged as the toppers in many city schools.
Vasana Srinivasan from Oakridge International School, Gachibowli scored 99 percent (495/500) in the CBSE. The student, who moved back from the US five years back, attributed her success to school teachers and her parents.
Nara Shreshtha emerged as the school topper from Vignan Global Gen Schools, Hyderabad by securing 98 per cent. “One third of the students from the school secured above 85 per cent. 30 students secured more than 94 percent,” read a press release issued by the school management.
Students of Delhi Public School, Nacharam also performed exceedingly well. Sasi Snigdha Yadavalli emerged as the school topper by securing 97.6 per cent in the class 10 results.
“For every subject, I thoroughly followed the NCERT textbooks. I also followed notes that were shared by the school management which helped me perform better. I plan to pursue maths, physics and chemistry and eventually appear for joint entrance exams,” said Yadavalli.
With 95.6 per cent, Monisha Paladug emerged as the school topper from Euro School Hyderabad. She secured 95 in English, 94 in Maths and 96 in Science. With 98.2 per cent, Prajwal Tiwari secured the school topper’s position from Kennedy High – the global school.

“When we moved from the US to Hyderabad five years back, I was very apprehensive about how well I can adjust but the school provided me all the necessary support to make the transition smooth. The school ambience and focus on overall personality development made me focus on academics and helped me achieve my goals,” said Srinivasan.
