Delhi: Slight drop in pass %, but Kendriya Vidyalayas ahead of the rest
In CBSE Class X results, Kendriya Vidyalayas have retained their top position among the institutions with a pass percentage of 99.2%. However, for them, there has been a slight drop of 0.24 percentage point.

NEW DELHI: In CBSE Class X results, Kendriya Vidyalayas have retained their top position among the institutions with a pass percentage of 99.2%. However, for them, there has been a slight drop of 0.24 percentage point.
A senior official of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan said, "Such small variations keep on happening considering our pass percentage is at 99%. Earlier also, it has happened but the good thing is we have been able to maintain our top position. Unlike JNVs, we have more students to cater to. However, when we meet to discuss the results and performances, the drop in pass percentage will also be discussed."
Leaving the KVs in Chennai region, the pass percentage in all regions has seen a minor drop. Out of the 1,168 KVs across the country, 846 had 100% results. Out of the 93,744 students who appeared, 9,104 scored more than 90% and 1,717 scored 95% and above. Abhay Nayak of KV Sambalpur, Odisha is the topper with a score of 497 out of 500 marks translating to 99.4%.
Behind KVs are Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas with a pass percentage of 98.7%. JNVs in Delhi west region secured 100% results.
In the third position is Central Tibetan School Administration with a pass percentage of 93.7%. Private schools with a pass percentage of 92.8% are in the fourth position.
Government schools are now in the fifth position, leaving the government-aided schools at the bottom. The pass percentage of government schools stands at 80.9%, an increase from 71.91% in 2019. Noida region schools recorded the lowest pass percentage-54.1%.
T he pass percentage of government-aided schools has risen to 77.8% against 76.9% in 2019.
