Odisha: Goods train hits truck in Paradip port

KENDRAPADA: A wagon tippler of a goods train derailed after it collided with a truck stuck at the Paradip port on Thursday morning.
Following the collision, one wagon tippler of the goods train also jumped the tracks. No casualty was reported in the mishap. However, a person sustained injuries. The transportation of goods and movement of trains was affected for a few hours, said inspector in-charge of Paradip police station, Rajanikanta Samal.
The truck reportedly got stuck on the tracks after it developed some technical problems. Later, the goods train that was passing through the route, rammed into it. The restoration work is being carried on a war footing, added the police officer.
