The Defense Ministry said that it has also allowed pension to those armed forces personnel who have served less than 10 years. Actually, those serving less than 10 years are not eligible for a pension.

The ministry said on Wednesday that the government has so far been providing pension benefits to soldiers who have completed 10 years of service, who for some reason were declared invalid for further military service.

The Ministry said that the government has decided to give pension to those soldiers who have served less than ten years in the Armed Forces, who have not been extended or invalidated due to injuries or mental weakness. The defense minister has approved this proposal. This decision will benefit all those soldiers who were in service on or after January 4, 2019.
