No new deaths of people in Wales with coronavirus have been reported, with the total now standing at 1,545.

Public Health Wales (PHW) said there were 18 new cases reported, meaning 16,871 people have tested positive for Covid-19.

The figures have been revised to include tests carried out at non-NHS laboratories.

It is the fifth day in the last 10 that no deaths with Covid-19 have been announced in Wales.

The deaths included mostly occur in hospitals, but only when the virus has been confirmed by laboratories.

A total of 300,424 tests have been carried out in both PHW and non-NHS laboratories, with some people having been tested more than once.

The PHW figures do not include deaths of residents from Powys in hospitals over the border in England.

The figures for deaths are revised and numbers are added to the correct date retrospectively.

The Office for National Statistics also publishes figures but on a weekly basis. These include all registered deaths, including those in care homes and at home, where Covid-19 is suspected, as well as laboratory-confirmed cases.
