Rahul Singh of Central academy tops Prayagraj in CBSE class 10 exam

PRAYAGRAJ: At a time when the young achievers of CBSE’s class 10 were celebrating their success on Wednesday, among them was the topper of Prayagraj, Rahul Singh whose success story is a true tale of grit and determination. The young lad, who had lost her mother Rajkumari Singh at the age when he was just 11 years old, has scored 98.2% in class X.
Student of Central Academy, Jhunsi Rahul aims of fulfilling the dreams of his mother by becoming an IAS officer. He has scored 100% in Maths, Science, Social Science and Information technology besides 97 in English and 94 in Hindi.
“I was in class 7 when one day we all were diagnosed with dengue, condition of my mother was critical, and she was admitted in a private hospital of the city but she died within 24 hours” recalls young Rahul who now lives with his maternal grandparents in Dandi, Naini. Besides him, his two elder sister Sweta and Swati along with the small family of his Mama-Mami (maternal uncle-aunt) lives in the small house but big enough to let young Rahul cherish his dreams.
“Besides the blessing of my mother, my success is because of my teachers, especially the Maths teacher DN Tripathi and my uncle (Pradeep Kumar Singh) who is a government primary school teacher at Shankargrah”, said Singh.
Undeterred by the hardships that came his way, owning to meagre earnings of his maternal uncle, Rahul was determined to show to the world that he cannot let go any opportunity go wasted. “I was determine to shine because I had to end the hardship of the family and one day I will fulfil dream of my mother”, said young Rahul.
Impressed by his achievement, the school management too has decided to exempt his school fee for the next two years (11-12 class). “He has made the institution proud because of which he will not be charged of any fee for his further studies in the school”, said principal of the school, Anand Pandey.
