One dies, 82 test positive for Covid in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: The city on Wednesday recorded 82 new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 7,208. The health department said 145 people have recovered from Covid-19 in Gurugram as well, bringing the total number of recoveries to 6,077. One person succumbed to the infection on Wednesday. So far, 110 people have died of Covid-19 in Gurugram. Of these, 73 people had comorbidities and 37 without comorbidities.
So far, 75,204 people have been put under surveillance in the district. The health department has sent 69,345 samples for testing, out of which 60,274 have turned out to be negative, while the results of 621 are still awaited. On Wednesday, 19 people were put in government quarantine facilities.
The district has a total of 1,021 active cases, of which 793 are under home quarantine. The district health authorities were able to collect 1,872 samples in the past 24 hours for antigen and RT PCR tests.
